Does the green project need to based in North America ?

No. GBL accepts projects from around the world!

I have no previous experience issuing green bonds, am I still eligible to apply?

Yes. Impact excels at helping companies issue green bonds successfully.

Are there any project activities deemed ineligible?

Yes. Projects involving fossil fuels or nuclear energy are excluded from consideration. For more information on eligibility criteria, refer to Impact’s Green Bond Framework.

How does the selection process work?

All ventures must apply using this form. You will be informed within 2 weeks whether you have been shortlisted for the interview stage. Shortlisted candidates are interviewed the following week. Admission decisions are made by a selection committee consisting of analysts, as well as legal and finance experts. Applicants will have 15 days to review and accept the admissions offer outlining the details of the program as it pertains to each project.

Can I join GBL if I plan to issue additional green bonds for the same project separately?

No. Green Bond issues for each project must plan to be issued solely through the GBL.

Am I guaranteed the financing amount requested?

No. Eligible financing via bond issuance is determined during the application assessment stage by the selection committee.

Are there any fees to apply to the GBL?

No, the application form is free for all applicants. In the event that your project is accepted into our program, the Impact team will draft a proposal outlining the facilitation fees associated with issuing the green bonds. Projects are assessed on an individual basis.

How is the data provided through the application secured? Does Impact comply with GDPR?

Maintaining the security and privacy of our applicants' data is our utmost concern at Impact International. All data you enter into the forms remains yours, and we are committed to ensuring that your data is not seen by anyone who should not see it. Our forms are hosted on Airtable. Airtable’s data is encrypted both when it is sent to and from our servers, as well as when it is at rest. To protect your content in transit, Airtable uses 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption. At rest, Airtable content is protected using 256-bit AES encryption. Yes Impact is GDPR compliant.
